Going back in the time machine here to Jan 2019!  We are really testing my memory here! :) I DO remember that this was a SUPER last minute booking.  Don't recall the details as to why, but I remember being contacted by mom and then contacting my baker (Sweet Life Cakery) to see if she could even do a UNICORN cake fast enough to do the session in a few days....I also reached out to the local community of Cake Smash Photographers to see if anyone had a backdrop for the unicorn set up that I could borrow/rent (since there wouldn't be time to order one)!  AND BOTH CAME THROUGH!  Marissa at Sweet Life Cakery was able to get that cake done in a couple of days AND a local photographer lent me the backdrop (just a quick shout out - we have a local San Diego Newborn Photographers group that is so supportive to one another, it is such a blessing!) I already had the "carousel" that I had made from a previous session  back in 2017!! I was surprised I still had it two years later! (Actually, I still have it, so three years :)!) The clouds I also had, they are made from batting and wire and hung with fish line !  Stars are from Amazon and the other little props, mom had brought with!  The "stars" aligned so to speak with getting the set up ready, but Gabby wasn't feeling it for the cake smash - babies are really hit or miss when it comes to their reaction to the texture of the cake.  We did manage to get some great smiles though once she did her bath!  How cute are those!
