I get asked a lot by parents if the kids actually "eat the cake"?....I always chuckle because it is called a CAKE SMASH for a reason....truth is, most kiddos don't *love* the cake and for some kiddos the texture and the mess are no fun at all....and you never really know until the day arrives!  Most are willing to try and some love the mess and the taste and some don't....

Enter Aubrey :)....definitely one of the prettiest little girls I have ever seen....those eyes and that chin dimple!....Seriously cute!  Mom warned me though that she is quite shy so we had reasonable expectations....but she surprised me!  We eased into the session so she could get to know me and the set area....and as you will see, we did get some CUTE smiles which I deem a HUGE success!...The cake?...well....that wasn't her favorite, try as we did....it just did not appeal to her so we called it a wrap....of course she snuck in another nibble after we started to clean her up :)

I knew mom was hopeful that Aubrey would have given us more smiles....but truth is....every session is different....because every little one is different.  This session was Aubrey's session...no one else...this was her journey and experience and that makes it perfect!
