I really love photographing newborns.  I get asked a lot if I prefer boys or girls and I must admit, girls are more fun.  There are so many more "elements" you can add to the images.  Headbands and flowers being my two favorite.  

For Hayden's session,  I was especially excited.  I had just made a new prop.  The Heart Silhouette. I wish I could take credit for it but I can't.  I had seen another photographer use something similar, a heart shaped bowl that she had.  I loved it, but I didn't have a heart shaped bowl and couldn't locate one in time for the session (I actually still haven't found one either...I keep my eyes out though, the rumor is Home Goods gets them once in a while!). Anyway, I crafted a heart shape using some pex pipe and attached it to a round bowl...by placing it under the blankets, you create a heart silhouette!! I absolutely LOVE this image and I have used it a ton since this session last year....for both boys and girls!!!  

I can't wait to get back to loving on all my little clients full time again and creating beautiful images like these!
