Still just as gorgeous one year later! I can't believe this little one is a year old!  I remember when I met and photographed Aria for her newborn session  I couldn't get over how she looked like a doll, she had the most beautiful features and the longest eye lashes I have ever seen on a baby....so gorgeous!  I was super blessed to see her again for a sitter session  just a few months ago and now again for her one year cake smash!!!  We had a lot of fun planning her session, we started with a circus theme (thinking about using Dumbo) but then went more the way of carousels and unicorns!  I love how the set came together - mom brought a crown from Love Crush Crowns and Marissa at Sweet Life Cakery made an amazing cake and they pulled everything together perfectly!!!

We had a lot of fun watching Aria enjoy her cake....but as in the case quite often with cake smashes, they soon realize that actually smashing and destroying the cake is a lot more fun....it always makes me cringe a bit when I see such a beautiful cake fall and crumble....but as I said, that is why they are called cake smashes after all.

I tried something new with Aria after her cake smash!  A post-cake smash bath!  I don't think there could be a more beautiful way to clean up!  We ended the session with a simple set up with roses...her name is Aria Rose after all!  I just love how every part of this session came together and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful little one to be at the center of it all!!  Happy Birthday, Aria!!
