What can I tell you about how cute little Devan is that you can't see for yourself?!  He has some of the cutest little features ever!!!  It is no surprise how sweet and adorable he is though if you know his momma and daddy....I had the pleasure of meeting them for a maternity session together back in July, it was a beautiful session in Balboa Park and it was full of love and anticipation for this little guy (you can see it here)! 

I always see it as such an honor and a privilege to be invited into people's lives to spend time with them to capture their little one in their first weeks of life....there are so many emotions going on...joy, excitement, hopefulness, but also doubt and concern about being new parents that is sometimes made worse by sheer exhaustion and lack of sleep that comes with bringing a newborn home and recovering from the birth.  Everyone handles this transition so differently and I have been blessed to be a part of many homes and families making these adjustments....and I tell you honestly, that Shannon and Sameer are among the most calm, confident and loving parents I have ever seen!  It is really awesome to see them take on their new roles so gracefully.  It speaks volumes to me how incredibly gentle and kind they are with each other and that same love and respect and awe they have for each other pours into Devan....he is one incredibly blessed little guy to have Shannon and Sameer as parents!

He was a such a dream to spend time with too....he was breech when he was born,  which always makes some of those tight little leg poses tricky because they want to stretch out...but I love how every session gets to be unique and suited to each baby!
