Are you ready for some over the top cuteness?...Well then, meet Emmie!  She is just about as cute as can be and she has the BEST facial expressions ever!  When Emmie's mom contacted me to make plans for her One Year Cake Smash....she knew right away she wanted to do flamingos because Emmie's first and favorite stuffed toy is her "Mingo" so we of course added it to our pre-cake set up!  I couldn't get over how cute she is....her smile completely brightens the room...so much happiness in one little package!  I have a soft spot for squishy and squeezy babies too....and do you see those little rolls?....so stinkin' cute!!!

Just like every baby is unique and different, every cake smash is different too....I have mentioned it before, but some babies LOVE cake and some won't have anything to do with it and you never really know until you plop then down in front of it....well, as you can see, Emmie enjoyed her fair share, but it did seem she had the most fun with the "smash" part.....she knocked that cake over and destroyed it and  It was probably one of my favorite cakes ever too, made by Marissa at Sweet Life Cakery !  She knows her cakes and makes the perfect cake to compliment our set design and please my guest's tummies!!!

I always think it is so funny, like at Christmas, when little ones have an amazing gift placed in front of them....but they just play with the wrapping paper or the box....in this case, the cake stand!....I guess we can learn a lot from them....it is the little things in life sometimes that give us the greatest joy!
