Elijah | Newborn Session | San Diego Newborn PhotographerIt is not uncommon for a baby to be awake at the beginning of a session, if that is the case, I usually start with a swaddle pose and that usually gets them nice and cozy and knocks them out in no time....AND its always fun to get some nice awake shots too with their eyes open....the problem though with most newborns is that they don't have focus and control of their vision yet so you often get "alien" eyes! This guy though!!!! WOW! Absolute focus and DIRECT eye contact AND an absolute first for me, direct eye contact AND a giant smile! AMAZING! He did also give some sweet sleepy smiles....he really was one of the smiliest (if that's a word) babies I have every photographed! Here are the images from my Newborn Mini Session with Elijah!
