I never would have imagined even 10 years ago the path my life would be on now...I was a classroom teacher for 20 years and now I am a full time photographer and what amazes me is that some of my clients were once students in my classroom or in this case, the sister of my students, but her connection runs pretty deep in a circle of my clients and it amazes me how small and connected our world can be!

I first worked with this family when their little guy was born for his Newborn  Session, mom had a rough post delivery and wasn't even able to attend the session :( but we reconnected again for his one year  Cake Smash  and it was adorable! 

I was so excited when I learned that they were expecting #2 and that it was a girl!  When little Gracielynn arrived, everyone was super surprised at how much she looked like her big brother when he was a newborn, in fact, we joked about just photoshopping big brother into some girl sets and you wouldn't know the difference!  We didn't of course and captured some great images of sweet Gracie and the whole family was there for the shoot.  Big brother though was a bit less cooperative, which is the nature of a two year old!  We did our best, we really did and we did end up with a family photo, one that really captures perfectly this time in their life and for me, that is really what it is all about!
